About Cara Spinelli.
Cara, a California native, is a Licensed Acupuncturist and board member of the European Branch of the Toyohari Association. She has a Bachelors of Arts from Mills College and a Doctorate in
Acupuncture from Five Branches University. While working on her masters, she took a
seminar given by, Anryu Iwashina, a blind acupuncturist from Japan. This lead to her spending an additional two years studying Traditional Japanese Acupuncture and more specifically Toyohari style Meridian Therapy with senior teachers from Europe, the UK and Japan.
In 1994 she relocated to Europe and has lived in both Hungary and Romania where she cofounded a grass-roots company working with women in the villages of Transylvania. For over 20 years she has fostered and developed a network of women making handmade textiles that are now sold across Europe, the US and even Australia.
In 2013 she returned to her deep passion in the arts of health and healing. Having experienced different cultures and ways of life, she brings compassion and openness to her approach in healing. Cara's love for learning has her enrolled in continuing education in both Traditional Japanese Acupuncture and Functional Medicine.
